Can I try a class free of charge?
Yes. You can try any class that we offer before committing. You can simply show up on the day and time of the class that you would like to try and let the office staff know that you are there to try a class. You can also enroll online and then try the class. If you decide that the class is not for you there will be no charge and we will remove the class from your account or remove your account entirely from our system.
Which class should I enroll my child in?
The easiest way to decide which class is best for your child is to create an account in the customer portal (click on the Customer Portal tab above). Once you have created an account in the portal you can see the classes that your child can enroll in based on age. If there is a class that you are interested in, but do not see in your customer portal you can email us at: theredshoesacademy@gmail.com and we can assist you with enrollment. You can also view an entire listing of the current classes available by clicking on the Classes Offered tab and then clicking on the Live Schedule button.
Do I receive a partial refund of my tuition if classes are cancelled as a result of inclement weather?
There are no refunds; however, if a class is cancelled as a result of inclement weather students are entitled to take any other class in their age group to make up the missed session. This will also give students an opportunity to try something new. Adult classes may be rescheduled at the discretion of the instructor and artistic director.
What is the Red Shoes Performance Company?
The Red Shoes Performance Company is an award winning team of talented dancers who perform at regional and national competitions, parades, sporting events, festivals, charity events, and other venues. Performance Company members range in age from 5 to 18. The Performance Company has received numerous 1st place finishes at competitions and has received special awards recognizing their talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Instructors of the Red Shoes Performance Company have also been awarded and recognized for their talented and inspiring choreography. How do I become a member of The Red Shoes Performance Company?
Auditions for the Company are held each summer with dates being posted each spring on our Website and Facebook page. Also, you can schedule a meeting or audition with the Artistic Director (theredshoesacademy@gmail.com). Company members must be between the ages of 5-19. Those aged 5-8 do not need to audition, but must get the approval of the Artistic Director.
What are your tuition policies?
Tuition Policies:
-Costume Fee: There is a $70 costume fee per class that participates in the Spring Recital. This fee will automatically be added to accounts in February. Students who enroll after February will be charged the fee upon enrollment.
-Price Structure: All classes are based on a yearly price structure, therefore, monthly tuition is the same regardless of the number of classes provided during each month (some months will have more or fewer class meetings based on the number of days in each month and Holidays). Fees are prorated if a student begins after the first class meeting in the month that classes are started.
-Inclement Weather Policy: Closings will be posted on our Facebook page and emails will be sent to students/parents. If a class is cancelled as a result of inclement weather there are no refunds; however, students are entitled to take any other class in their age group free of charge to make up the missed session. Some adult classes may be rescheduled.
-Returned Payment Fee: $20 fee charged for returned checks.
-Late Fee: A 5% late fee will be added to balances that are 30 days late (5% fee added every 30 days).
Discounts: *Discounts cannot be combined and do not apply to Performance Company rehearsal tuition.
-10% tuition discount for law enforcement, public safety, and active military.
-20% sibling (family) discount.
Payment: All students must have a credit or debit card on file. Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. Any unpaid account balance will be charged to the customer's credit/debit card account on the 11th of each month. Notification to drop a class must be made prior to the 1st of the month. Most dancers/parents elect to use AutoPay where their balance is automatically deducted from the credit/debit card on file on the 11th of each month. Your credit/debit will not be charged unless you elect to use AutoPay or if there is a past due balance.
Performance Company Tuition:
$75 per month for students participating in 4 or more company group dances.
$60 per month for students participating in 3 or fewer company group dances.
$50 per month for Mini-Company members (ages 5-7).
-The above fees are for the regular season only (9months) and cover all company group rehearsals. Solo, duet, trio, and other private lessons are billed separately.
